HenryCare has a sophisticated Program Maintenance system in place. This system helps Hospitals, Aged Care Facilities, Disability Facilities and other institutions in a number of ways. Occupational Health and Safety issues are addressed by ensuring equipment safety and reducing risks of equipment failure or breakage. To obtain accreditation, Aged Care Facilities in Australia are required to have "a planned, documented, preventative and corrective maintenance program" in place and "documentation of external contractor's work". (from Standards and Guidelines for Residential Aged Care' manual.) HenryCare Service Technicians are skilled in electrical, mechanical and electronic diagnostics and repair. They service all types, any age, all makes and models of equipment from scooters to wheelchairs, electric lifters to trolleys and beds to shower chairs.

Inspection and Testing of electrical equipment

HenryCare Technicians carry out inspection and testing of electrical equipment in hospitals, Aged Care Facilities and other institutions. This service is carried out in accordance with Standard AS/NZS 3760:2003, "In-service safety inspection and testing of electrical equipment." Equipment items are labeled with barcodes which are scanned by hand held PDAs. Information collected is down-loaded into the HenryCare database and client reports generated. All data is stored in the HenryCare database for seven years as required by the Standard. Generally inspection and testing of electrical equipment is carried out in conjunction with Preventative Maintenance Programs. This dual service is provided by HenryCare on electric beds in a number of Institutions and large Hospitals, Public and Private. Standard AS/NZS 3200.2.38:1997 recommends the frequency of inspection and maintenance of hospital beds as annually and Standard AS/NZ 3760:2003 recommends the frequency of electrical inspection and testing of hospital beds as every two years.

Calibration of Weigh Scales

HenryCare offers a Calibration service for patient weighing equipment used in hospitals, Aged Care Facilities and other institutions. This weighing equipment is typically weigh scale chairs and weigh scale attachments used on electric or hydraulic patient lifters. The mass weights used by our Service Technicians for this Calibration service are Certified to Australian standards and Calibration checks can be carried out on site in most cases. A small charge applies for each calibration.
